Josep joined Quadia in 2016 and focuses on investment analysis and monitoring of Quadia’s private equity and debt transactions, in which he is involved from sourcing to execution.
Prior to joining Quadia, Josep worked as a Business Controller at Groupe Danone, where he assisted in consolidating the financial statements of Danone’s water subsidiary in Spain. Josep’s first professional experience in the sustainability sector came while interning as a Business Developer for CO2-monitor, a Swiss-based environmental services company providing sustainability awareness solutions to corporates and International Organizations. In early 2016, he worked as an external consultant for the Spanish water treatment company Derypol, developing an 8–year corporate strategic plan.
Josep’s interest in the field of sustainable finance and impact investing goes back much further in time and led him to write his Master Thesis on the topic of Climate-themed Impact Investments. In 2017, he co-founded Next Generation Finance, a Geneva-based sustainable finance association seeking to engage the Millennial generation.
Josep holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from ESADE Business School in Barcelona, completing an Exchange Program at Emory University, Atlanta. More recently, he graduated from ESADE’s MSc in Finance and the CEMS Master in International Management joint program with the University of St. Gallen. Josep is fluent in English, Spanish and French.
