Our investee, La Ruche Qui Dit Oui (LRQDO) aims to provide a solution by enabling customers to directly trade with local food producers through an online market with assemblies in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Once the order has been made, both parties meet at a designated spot coordinated by LRQDO.
The French magazine, Capital, visited the company at their headquarters in Paris. Three main elements of success are highlighted:
- Committed employees that believe in the philosophy of the company. This is illustrated by the daily meals prepared by employees and using products from LRQDO
- An effective communication strategy coupled with a complete transparency. 83,3% of the sales go back to the producer.
- LRQDO is not only about allowing customers to access fresh and local products but also enables social interactions, which is especially true in rural areas.
