André Hoffmann at Quadia Talks

For the second edition of the Quadia Talks, we were pleased to welcome André Hoffman, Vice Chairman of Roche Ltd and over 60 attendees.

Titled « Long-term corporate strategies leading the transition towards a regenerative economy », the discussion between André Hoffman and Guillaume Taylor, founder of Quadia, centered on the need for businesses to emerge as a force for good. The transition towards more resilient economies and societies will be led by companies that are able to take into account social and environmental returns alongside financial ones. The natural capital coalition should be part of a company’s performance to measure its success.

The creation of the Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society is a commitment to redefining the norms of business by integrating sustainability in the future managers’ program.

Leaders should no longer have to separate their core corporate activities from the philanthropic endeavors but rather aim at seeing the benefits of integrating environmental and social factors into the business itself.

« We are a one-planet system with interrelations within the ecosystems between humans, animals and the environment,» said André Hoffmann.

Sustainability is no longer sufficient, we need to build circular and regenerative systems in which businesses are led by conscious governance.
